Ah, scripts. They sure take the bite out of day-to-day training. You're really going to like these scripts. Have a test run, and see for yourself why these scripts are top-shelf and serious about making your life a whole lot easier.  Unless otherwise noted, all scripts are made by me and were designed for StormFront.  Just click on the script name to be taken to the script itself, then copy and paste it into your front end's script-sticking place.  If you need help using these, email me.

My scripts are designed to prevent repetative stress ailments, not to gain experience AFK. Unless you're in The Fallen. Script away.

= Wizard Front End compatible. Blast!

Scripts that will work anywhere:

.reckus (Multiple Instrument Playing)

Version 4.1 Updated 9/15/2008

  • Trains: Music Theory, Vocals, Strings, Percussions, Winds
  • This script now works for all guilds!
  • Reckus is Play 2.0 compatible and will train Vocals, Strings, Winds, Percussions, and Music Theory (for the Bards) in the most efficient manner possisble. This is the ultimate fire-and-forget script that will auto-adjust itself as your skill grows to maximize your learning. Never edit your script again!
If you train instruments, I guarantee you will love this script.
  • Keeps your instruments clean and in tune. Training instruments has never been this easy! Reckus even knows if your instrument requires a bow or a pick or something!
  • To use: Save the text as a script in StormFront called "reckus" and edit the six "setvariable" commands at the beginning of the script. For the first one, the last word of the line should be yes or no, depending on whether or not you want to train vocals. The next three are your percussion, string, or wind instruments. Just replace my instruments with yours, or if you don't use that instrument, delete the instrument's name (but not the whole line). And finally the last two things to set are the item you clean instrumetns with (usually a cloth or rag) and the container you store all this garbage in. Then simply type  .reckus from the command line.
  • Caution: The first run of this script will look pretty ugly as it will find the "sweet spot" of learning for each of your instruments. This script will not work  if you do not name it reckus or you don't use a period (.) to activate your scripts from the command line. Also, make sure you have everything you need for it in your possession (instruments, cloths, picks, bows, etc.). If you wish for Reckus to loop until the cows come home, delete the pound sign (#) in the last line.
  • What's New in 4.0?: Vocals support via the new capabilities of the Hum command! I've also allowed users to only train the skills they want to. Vocals and Percussions? Strings and Winds? Just Vocals? All four? All possible now. Updating to 4.05? You'll find Reckus now supports the changes to the EXP verb. 4.06 fixed a rare bug caused by a STOW verb oddity.

.reckusnb (Multiple Instrument Playing, Non-Bard)

  • Reckus NB is no longer neccessary: Reckus 4 (see above) now works for all guilds!

.jug (Juggling)
Updated 4/02/2008

  • Trains: Perception
  • Jug will juggle your jugglies until you're at least Bewildering, then give you a status report. Example:

  • Kraelyst's Juggling List will tell you what you should juggle.
  • To use: Simply type  .jug <jugglies>

 .cam (Cambrinth Orb Charging)

Updated 6/20/2008

  • Trains: Magical Devices
  • Cam will train Magical Devices by charging and focusing on the cambrinth object of your choice, then using Ease Burden to "empty" it.
  • To use: Edit the line in the beginning of the script (in the box) for your cambrinth item (change the word "orb" to whatever) and type .cam. Alternately, you can type .cam <object> to use something else specifically.

.braid (Grass Braiding)

  • Trains: Power Perception
  • This script will try its hardest to skip rooms occupied by players or peccaries, and will retreat if advanced on after you enter and/or perceive. However, I cannot promise 100% safety since there are too many X factors when scripting through a hunting zone. Don't worry, zero casualties so far!

  • Mfavor will get you favors by taking Kuniyo Orbs out for a swim. All you need are some unbundled caracal pelts and maybe a magazine to read or something.

Scripting Technique Demonstrations

.2counters (Two Counters At The Same Time)

  • Ever catch yourself saying "Drat! I wish I could have more than one counter" ?  Now you can! With a little variable trickery you can count your hens and your roosters at the same time.

.onmymark (Counter-Triggered Function)

  • Ever want to perform one action each time the counter goes up, but a different action once it reaches a particular number?
Now you can! When the counter hits ten, well... Who knows what might happen?!? The sky's the limit!

.highroller (Fun With Math & User Interfaces)

  • HighRoller is obsolete now that all new characters roll out with perfect stats, but I'm leaving this here as a demonstration of using the counter creatively for some math functions, as well as creating a user interface that allows intuitive input by the user.
